Town Cats Proud to Host “Wine and Whiskers” Wine Tasting Fundraiser

SAN JOSE, Calif. – July 26, 2009 – Town Cats, announces plans for its forth annual Wine and Whiskers event. This year’s event will feature wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment, and silent auctions, all to benefit the cats and kittens of the Town Cats shelter. Auction items include weekend getaways, entertainment packages, beauty packages, artwork by local artists, dinners at local restaurants, plus other great items.

The event is on Sunday, July 26, 1:00-5:00 pm, at The San Jose Women’s Club, 75 S. 11th St., San Jose, CA. Tickets are $55/person, $100/for two.

Town Cats is 100% funded by donations from the community, as well as the countless selfless hours given to us by volunteers. All proceeds from this event will go towards feeding and caring for our needy animals in the South Bay Area. About Town Cats
Town Cats is Santa Clara County’s only no-kill feline rescue and shelter dedicated to caring for and rehoming needy animals. Since its inception in 1998, Town Cats has found homes for more than 9,000 cats and kittens. In 2008 alone, Town Cats adopted out 706 animals. Many of the cats are rescued off death row at local shelters in San Jose, Los Banos, and Hollister. Town Cats also provides spay/neuter, shelter, food and medical care for an additional 1,000 cats each year—many of whom require special attention. Although the primary focus is on cats, the occasional guest hamster and dog have come through the doors as well.
